BEST, juiciest pulled pork today
Had the BEST, juiciest pulled pork today at The Mountain Boomer !!! I’m very picky about how meat is cooked (especially when dining out/spending $$$), but their pulled pork plate exceeded every expectation. They have a great casual atmosphere with live music frequently. Highly recommend.

Amazing service, food, and atmosphere.
The mountain boomer clearly takes a lot of pride in their sides, which is great news because the main entrees come with 2! The potato salad and Mac and cheese were very solid options. The pork chop was decent, if just a bit dry, but for the price, the amount of food, and the sauces- i can overlook that little detail. Also, they have 50 cent postcards, which is awesome!

Pulled pork was delicious, great choice of sauces, available as well. Owner was very hospitable, and he supports our veterans! Actually has a sign on the wall for veterans to sign so people can acknowledge them and their service.

We found The Mountain Boomer by accident, while sight seeing during the rainstorms this past Sunday evening. What a great find! We really enjoyed the live music, local beer, great barbecue, sausage-stuffed portobello, and BLT club sandwiches. The potato salad is also great… like really great! This place is simple and simply fantastic. Dean, the owner, was super helpful with menu choices and with accommodating our questions and our family of six. It’s a short drive from Grandfather Mountain and from the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we’ll be back!
