Open Mic Night Mondays
Boomer Monday Jam Sessions are a great opportunity to highlight your musical talents and love of live music. Every Monday the stage is set for an evening of creativity and pure entertainment.
Hosted by the talented Jesse Smith, the evening provides an opportunity for individual artists to showcase their talents, and ends with the opportunity to join in a group jam session. Previous Boomer Jams have included multiple instruments and vocalists who haven’t performed together and creating a truly inspirational show.

The Mountain Boomer hosts “Open Mic Nights on Fridays,” providing a stage for musicians and performers to showcase their hidden talents and passion for live music. Every 2nd and 4th Friday, guests can enjoy an evening of creativity and entertainment, where the supportive atmosphere fosters community and encourages artistic growth. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or trying open mic for the first time, join us for music, laughter, and unforgettable moments, celebrating the vibrant talent within our community.

Pulled pork was delicious, great choice of sauces, available as well. Owner was very hospitable, and he supports our veterans! Actually has a sign on the wall for veterans to sign so people can acknowledge them and their service.

We found The Mountain Boomer by accident, while sight seeing during the rainstorms this past Sunday evening. What a great find! We really enjoyed the live music, local beer, great barbecue, sausage-stuffed portobello, and BLT club sandwiches. The potato salad is also great… like really great! This place is simple and simply fantastic. Dean, the owner, was super helpful with menu choices and with accommodating our questions and our family of six. It’s a short drive from Grandfather Mountain and from the Blue Ridge Parkway, so we’ll be back!
